Canada – 2018 2 Dollars Armistice – B.UNC

Photos and information for illustrative purposes only.

The design on the reverse underlines the 100th anniversary of the Armistice of 1918 by combining 2 symbols of Remembrance. On the brass-finished center disk, a soldier’s helmet represents the end of World War I and is a solemn reminder of the many lives lost in this first industrial war in history. Under the helmet is a large poppy, the official flower of remembrance. 2 more poppies are engraved on the coin’s nickel-plated outer ring, which also includes a specially engraved security feature, a banner with “REMEMBER” and “SOUVENIR” and the year “2018”.
